March Events in Ada



Spring has sprung, and that means there are some fun events happening in Ada! Hop into spring with a mixture of indoor/outdoor events for you, your friends, your family, and whoever else you want to bring! Head over to Ada on one of these dates, and enjoy these events.


“Cool Critters”

When: Wednesday, March 7th 10am ($5 per child)

Where: Roselle Park

What: This event is for preschoolers (3-5 years of age), and their parents. Have a fun morning with your preschooler and partake in a variety of activities including games, studying nature, and being hands-on. The event is indoor and outdoor, so please dress accordingly. Register with Mark Fitzpatrick at mfitzpatrick@adatownshipmi.com.


“Snakes, Turtles, and Frogs, Oh, my!”

When: Thursday, March 8th 7pm-8pm, doors open at 6:30pm ($5 per person)

Where: Roselle Park Resource Building

What: The Outdoor Discovery Center will feature live, native turtles, snakes, and other animals for you to see and touch. Learn how reptiles and amphibians differ from other animal groups, and tips for identifying the difference. There will be artifacts including skins, skulls, eggs, and shells of species native to Michigan, as well.

Pre-registration is required as seating is limited.


“Exploring the Night Sky”

When: Thursday, March 22nd 7:30pm-8:30pm, doors open at 7pm ($3 per person)

Where: Roselle Park

What: Join the Grand Rapids Amateur Astronomical Association as they talk about what to see in the sky in the upcoming months as we go from winter to spring and then finally, summer. Go outside to observe the crescent moon, Orion Nebula, and other sights with your eyes; (Binoculars and telescopes provided by the GRAA)


“It’s a Leprechaun Hunt!”

When: Friday, March 17th from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Where: The Community Church, 7239 Thornapple River Dr. SE, Ada

What: Join in the St. Patrick’s Day festivities by searching for leprechauns around Ada! Over 100 leprechauns will be hidden around Ada, from doorways to trees. You will start and end at The Community Church to pick up a clue sheet to begin your hunt.


While you can’t capture the leprechauns, you can take photos with them! Feel free to share them on Facebook and Instagram with #AdaVillage. Once you complete your search, head back to The Community Church for refreshments. Your child will get a goodie bag if they participate too. Everyone is invited to join in the hunt!
